Hey, are you listening to my podcast? If not, check it out. I’m experimenting with the format and would appreciate your feedback. And if you would leave a positive rating as well, I would be most grateful. Please and thank you. Okay, on to today’s message.
Project Veritas released the second installment of a new #ExposeCNN series today, featuring Technical Director Charlie Chester — who described how the network uses “manipulation” to shape public opinion and garner higher ratings.
Sigh. (I am shaking my head as I hold back my “I told you so” to my detractors.)
Here are a few quotes from Chester which should earn Project Veritas every journalism award imaginable.
“Any reporter on CNN — what they’re actually doing is they’re telling the person what to say… It’s always like leading them in a direction before they even open their mouths. The only people that we [CNN] will let on the air, for the most part, are people that have a proven track record of taking the bait,” Chester explained.
“I think there’s an art to manipulation…Inflection, saying things twice — there’s little subtleties to how to manipulate people…I mean, it’s enough to change the world, you know?”
“Like, why isn’t it high enough, you know, today? Like it would make our point better if it was higher. And I’m like, what am I f***ing rallying for? That’s a problem that we’re doing that.”
Chester also described how CNN has used the COVID-19 pandemic to keep viewers hooked on the screen.
“It’s fear. Fear really drives numbers – [TV ratings],” Chester said. “Fear is the thing that keeps you tuned in.”
He added, “COVID? Gangbusters with ratings, right? Which is why we [CNN] constantly have the [COVID] death toll on the side.”
Chester said Jeff Zucker – the network’s president –- would call the CNN newsroom during live TV segments and order the staff to keep COVID death tolls on the screen to capture viewers’ attention.
Everytime I see reporting like this, my disdain for the mainstream media is justified all the more. Click here to watch the video for yourself (before its censored by big tech.)
The news should be reporting what is happening, not directing it. Here’s one more example of news propaganda in the making. Its sure to hit the CNN airwaves soon, and so many others.
The Racism Report
The other day, I shared how BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors bought 4 high-end homes for $3.2 million dollars alone. At least one of the homes she purchased was in a city with less than a 2% African American population. Newspapers called her a fraud and some within BLM demanded an investigation of her finances. (BLM received $90 million in donations last year.) Khan-Cullors went underground as a result but recently emerged to answer her critics. What did she say? In essence, the criticisms against her amounted to… racism.
Here is a quote from BLM’s press release.
Patrisse’s work for Black people over the years has made her and others who align with the fight for Black liberation targets of racist violence. The narratives being spread about Patrisse have been generated by right-wing forces intent on reducing the support and influence of a movement that is larger than any one organization. This right-wing offensive not only puts Patrisse, her child and her loved ones in harm’s way, it also continues a tradition of terror by white supremacists against Black activists. All Black activists know the fear these malicious and serious actions are meant to instill: the fear of being silenced, the trauma of being targeted, the torture of feeling one’s family is exposed to danger just for speaking out against unjust systems. We have seen this tactic of terror time and again, but our movement will not be silenced.
This next story was more predictable. Despite what the body cam footage of an inept police officer shows regarding the Daunte Wright case in Minneapolis, some are calling for a complete dismantling of all police in favor of some undefined new standard. Why? Racism. Check out this tweet from the ice cream company – Ben & Jerry’s.
I disagree with that sentiment to the Nth degree and assert now and always that defunding the police is a bad idea. At its very heart, it is Marxist. But, I digress to share one more story that can be described as lunatic at best. Here is the headline.
Here is a quote.
An environmental activist is petitioning her local council to remove cheese and other dairy products from the school menu because she claims the food items are “racist.”
Yes, really.
Extinction rebellion member Alison Plaumer told local officials at a Brighton and Hove City Council meeting that dairy is racist because black people are more likely to be lactose intolerant.
“Arguably, there is a racist element to serving dairy too much because 65 per cent of the world’s population are lactose intolerant, many from the BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) community,” said Plaumer.
She is demanding plant-based only food be introduced at all state run schools for two days a week and for council events to be completely plant-based once the pandemic is finished.
Wow, just… wow. I have nothing else to add to that other than… moo.

Do you love America or not?
I share these 2 tweets because the opposing views are so striking to me. The first tweet being mired in Critical Race Theory (Cursed is the day it was spawned!) while the second one seems to me, a mix of patriotism and common sense.
This from our United Nations Ambassador…
And this tweet, featuring a quote from Condoleeza Rice who served under President George Bush. Whether or not it sums up the Democratic Party these days, I leave that for you to decide. (I think the sentiment she is rebuking goes beyond party lines.)
A not so subtle message to illegal migrants?
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has hung signs on all the major interstate highways entering Florida informing everyone traveling by road into the state that the Sunshine State has implemented E-Verify, a background check system for employers to see if prospective hires are in fact legally authorized to work in the United States.
Its only wrong when Trump does it! Not when we do it.
Kamala Harris said on Wednesday that she will travel to Guatemala and Mexico as part of her role in tackling the “root causes” of the migration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico southern border. This was the SAME policy that the Trump administration exercised and was denounced for doing it. Go figure. Well, I’m not mad about it. If it worked before, why reinvent the wheel? The powers that be can assign (or steal) credit for the success later.
I wonder how this will affect the debate on gun control laws?
You might have missed this in the mainstream news yesterday. I’m sure it made major headlines. #sarcasm But a group of mostly peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters carrying the type of rifles many politicians lobby against, took over a hotel and restaurant yesterday. Just FYI.
And forgive my question but, is that a gun free zone they’re in? The peaceful protests included delightful chants as quoted in the images below. Click here and here to enjoy them for yourself.
