How did you celebrate George Floyd Day?

NOTE: At some point, before bed, I read through 50+ news sources and share my findings here. If you like it, share it. If you don’t, share it. Follow my blog now to support my work or to find new reasons to complain about it. My opinions are my own. All tips are welcome. And if you have not already, help spread the message that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Yesterday, I mentioned a leak memo revealing that the BLM flag will from US embassies around the world. Well, today it happened in Greece, Spain, Cambodia and Bosnia. It was done in celebration of George Floyd Day. Here is what that looked like in Greece.

Other ways George Floyd Day was celebrated but not promoted by the mainstream news was an unearthed revelation from 2015. Back then, BLM Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors said in an interview that “revolution” will not be through ballot box and that the American flag itself was a “symbol of hate.” Here is a direct quote from her, courtesy of The National Pulse.

“I think that’s powerful. I also think it’s important that we talk about the American flag, which is a symbol of lots of hate as well, and I’ve really been appreciative of Black Lives Matter members who’ve said, yes the Confederate Flag is a terrible symbol of a particular historical moment, but the American flag is also a terrible symbol of our particular moment,” she notes.

Further in the interview, she says this…

“I appreciate the Confederate flag burning, I think it’s a power symbol, and it’s really amazing to be alive watching people burn it down, and I want to question, too, are we saying then that the American flag is a symbol that we are standing by? It’s not a symbol I stand by.”

When you hear that and later learn that a BLM activist tried to instigate Trump Supporters into violence at the Capital on January 6th, it sort of makes you go hmm… There seems to be some other agenda at work than the preservation and edification of black life. I mean, I hear arguments against BLM all the time that say…

Sigh.

So, a quick recap. The founder of BLM admits to hating America and yet, the American government flies the BLM flag next to the American flag worldwide. BLM does not seem overly enthusiastic about improving the lives of black people eventhough the name of their organization suggests otherwise. I find it all very ironic. Before concluding this matter, allow me one more observation.

The New Republic reports on a new trend happening among Catholic clerics – exorcisms of leftist ideology. Here is a quote.

In Elysburg, Pennsylvania, there is a Vatican-trained exorcist and professed expert on spiritual warfare, who lectures and tweets about the “demonic” forces of our times. It might surprise you to learn what these latter-day Regan MacNeils bedeviling our safe suburban homes are: Black Lives Matter, Marxism, critical race theory, intersectionality, and wokeness. And this cleric is not the only exorcist very publicly conflating the Evil One with the left, real and imagined.

Wow. What can I say to that but… amen.

Hey, have you seen my new t-shirt? I’m quite proud of it. Be the first kid on your block to promote racial harmony in a way that competes with the leftist narrative.

My t-shirt is a nod to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech where he said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Get it? Character is greater than color

OTHER THINGS I NOTICED TODAY

Did you know that there is proposed legislation that would erase criminal records of millions in the state of NY? People who support the bill say that it would make it easier for felons to find a job. Not sure how I feel about the bill. I keep thinking about the adage “the road to hell being paved with good intentions.” I’m going to keep pondering that one.

The White House bragged today about our 50% vaccination rate while over a billion people worldwide are refusing the vaccine altogether. Why the hesitancy? Lots of reasons, here are 18 compelling objections that are going viral online. (Pun intended.) If any of those points resonate with you and validate your refusal to get the jab then you will love this follow-up post “How to Overcome the Pressure to Get a Covid Vaccine.” VERY interesting stuff.

Meanwhile, over in Sweden, Scientists say PCR tests cannot be used to determine if someone is contagious. Umm… Ok. Nice to know that now. And before I go any further, let’s pause a moment to remember William Shakespeare (real name) the first man in world to get the Covid vaccine. He passed at 81. Maybe Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer discussed that on her latest outing? Doubtful, but possible. Maybe the latest Project Veritas expose was the topic of the day? Hah! Again, I joke. I typically have little good to say about the mainstream media. More often than not, they prove to be an enemy of the American people when they pursue profits over objective truth. From their perspective, it s better to slant a story for the sake of ratings (and thereby increase ratings which translates into higher profits) than to simply report honestly what happens and the chips fall where they may. Case in point, click here to see some disturbing footage of ABC “journalists” coaching women on what to say when making allegations against actor Craig McLachlan.

Still, there are times when the mainstream media gets it right and does a daring expose that does not serve an apparent agenda. For example, 60 Minutes did a story on young people who detransitioned from one sex into another and then reversed their decision. It was an insightful and solid piece of journalism and I applaud them for it. Is this a sign that unbiased news reporting is entering the mainstream? I can only hope. Still, it is worth noting.
