This past weekend, the Group of 7 (G7) met together to discuss world events, global strategies and how to advance the free world. For those that don’t know, this is how Wikipedia describes the G7.
The Group of Seven (G7) is an inter-governmental political forum consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Its members are the world’s largest IMF-advanced economies and wealthiest liberal democracies; the group is officially organized around shared values of pluralism and representative government. As of 2018, the G7 accounts for close to 60% of global net wealth ($317 trillion), 32–46% of global gross domestic product (GDP)[n 1] and for about 770 million people or 10% of the world’s population. Most members are Great powers in global affairs and maintain close economic, military, and diplomatic relations.
In other words, its kind of a big deal. Our mainstream media gushed over Biden in sharp contrast to how they treated Trump at the same event, when he was in office. The Australian media noticed the difference straight away and made several mocking comments about it.
But I digress, our President did not perform well on the G7 world stage. Here are some low lights. First of all, he was late, very late.
When President Biden is questioned by reporters, he could only go to the ones that have been pre-approved by his staff.
Its possible that President Biden only goes to pre-approved reporters because when he goes off script, embarrassing things happen. For example, when a reporter (who was not pre-approved?) asked him about his conversations with world leaders, he snapped at them saying that he had only been in office 120 days and to give him a break.
In another cringe worthy moment, President Biden confuses Libya with Syria three times. A minor thing for the average American but certainly noteworthy when its the President.
When asked about Putin, Biden took 25 seconds to say nothing. Truly, a cringe worthy moment.
And this one, I have no words for, just out of respect for the office; not the man.
And in an open meeting, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tried to cover for President Biden’s faulty memory. Sometimes, you get by with a little help from your friends.
And sometimes you get some help from your spouse.
Maybe, just maybe, she gave more help than people think. (President Jill?)
Interestingly enough, President Biden may be just stalling as long as he can because he knows his days in office are numbered. On this, rumors are abounding. Take for example what a little birdie told a reporter from One America News Network.
But will a President Harris be a political victory for the Democrats? Not likely, VP Harris approval ratings are dismal and threaten a 2024 Presidential victory, should she be the Democratic front runner in 2024. Unless she miraculously turns things around at the southern border, her chances of being elected again are nil; especially when she does not garner the respect of Mexico. Not to mention, losing her media allies. And I say, losing her allies, because if they were still with her this would not have happened.
From a political perspective, the future of the Whitehouse being controlled by Democrats does not look rosy. And I think that is the conventional wisdom inside their party. Why do I say that? Consider what Alexandria Ocasio Cortez said on CNN on June 13, 2021.
Soooo, Democrat candidates cannot rely on simply winning elections?!! Interesting. Maybe that’s why H.R. 1 is so important to them.
