Biden Breaks His Promise, Leaves Americans Behind

I was not sure of all I was going to say. To be honest, I am quite upset over President Biden’s decision to break his promise to remain in Afghanistan until every American is evacuated. According to FOX News

Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. announced Monday evening that the last of the U.S. troops stationed at the Kabul airport had left, completing the military’s drawdown in the country, even though hundreds of Americans likely remain.

While there is so much to be said about this shameful point in American history, there are still more things to lower our head about.

Things like the backlash over a report that U.S. officials provided Taliban with names of American citizens, allies. (Perhaps, it is these same people that are being hung from the army helicopters we left behind.) How is that not treason?

And things like how on August 30, 2021, Biden referred to Black Senior Adviser Cedric Richmond as ‘Boy,’ a racial slur. (Did you hear the outrage from the media? Me neither.)

And of course, there is the lack of stamina in our President; visibly suggesting an America in decline. Sigh.

But nothing quite captures my mortification, than the image of a US President receiving fallen soldiers from a needless crisis he created. What about this did I find degrading for not only me but, the soul of America? During the procession, Biden checked his watch. No doubt, there were other places he wanted to be. (And even moreso, after meeting with the families.)

Understandably, as the Biden administration continues, so too are calls for his impeachment. There are several Republicans in office who want to see that happen but they simply do not have the numbers. To quote Just The News

A number of House members have called for Biden to resign or be impeached, including Greg Steube (Fla.), Ronny Jackson (Texas), Michael Cloud (Texas), Claudia Tenney (N.Y.), Tom Rice (S.C.), Elise Stefanik (N.Y.), Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Roger Williams (Texas).

With a Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, impeachment is a nonstarter politically unless the GOP regains control of the chamber in the 2022 midterm elections.

Unless something changes, and that is entirely possible in this uncanny era, any realistic Biden impeachment won’t happen until 2022. Until that time, something ominous is on the horizon with federal spending. To quote 1945

Democratic leaders in the House and Senate are hoping to pass a $1 trillion bill to fund infrastructure and a $3.5 trillion bill to fund new and expanded entitlement programs. The bills would entrench a substantial increase in the size and scope of the federal government.

The chart below shows past and projected domestic program spending if the Democratic plans pass, measured as a percent of gross domestic product. Projected spending is as proposed in the Democratic budget resolution less defense and interest outlays.

Hmm… That’s a LOT of money to spend while people are focused elsewhere. Actually, that is more money than our country has EVER spent and that is saying a LOT. Where is all that money going? How will that affect America today and in the foreseeable future? Who really knows? Who really cares? Its only money. We can always print more. #sarcasm
