PODCAST: The Prism of America’s Education

Educator Karen Schoen puts a focus on the destruction of America through education. Everything is connected; nothing is random; everything has a plan and all plans are based on lies. Karen’s objective is to alert and inform Americans about what is in their school and what their children are learning, i.e.: Climate, UN, Sustainability, Activism; Hatred of their family, religion and America. Not learning: reading, writing, math, civics. The goal is to replace the current curricula with a traditional American education.

You can be a champion or a victim, you can’t be both. Ask yourself: Is America worth saving? If yes, then what will you do to help save the republic?

The Media is Gaslighting You.
Here’s how.

Do you know what “gaslighting” is? According to Wikipedia, “Gaslighting is a colloquialism that is defined as making someone question their own reality. The term is also used informally to describe someone who persistently puts forth a false narrative which leads another person to doubt their own perceptions to the extent that they become disoriented and distressed.”

The term originated from a classic movie – Gaslight. Without giving too much away, the movie is about this guy who plays mind games on his wife in order to keep something hidden from her. One of the tricks he plays is arbitrarily dimming the lights and convincing his wife that she was the one doing it. The end effect is that his wife starts to question her perceptions and reality itself; effectively making her go crazy.

If you watch the film today, you might recognize the gaslighting perpetrated by the media. Case in point, in my news search today, I came across this article in the Denver Post discussing the January 6th Committee. Here is a quote.

Unlike some previous investigations in the Trump era — including the Russia probes and the impeachment inquiry into Trump’s interactions with Ukraine — the central facts of the Jan. 6 insurrection are known. A group of Trump supporters, fueled by his false claims of a stolen election, brutally assaulted police and smashed their way into the Capitol to interrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory.

But there are still unanswered questions about the attack on the Capitol, and lawmakers say they are committed to presenting a full accounting to make sure it never happens again.

The committee is looking into every aspect of the riot, including what Trump himself was doing while it unfolded and any connections between the White House and the rioters who broke into the building.

The panel is also investigating how the protests leading up to and during the insurrection were financed, including the rally at the Ellipse on Jan. 6 preceding the riot.

“The biggest black box though is what was the president’s role? What was the role of people in the White House? What did the president know about who was coming to this rally?” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who sits on the panel, said in an interview on C-SPAN. ”And what did he do when he found out?”

The Democrat from California added, “There are a lot of important unanswered questions.”

Let’s look closer at some of the points mentioned in this quote:

  • Trump supporters where protesting what they thought was a stolen election and a riot broke out. Police were attacked. There was property damage.
  • Since the event happened on government property, lawmakers want a full investigation to insure it never happens again. Included in the investigation are queries on how the protest was financed.
  • Some want to see if President Trump was involved and if so, to what extent.

Now, consider the gaslighting by the media. For one, on August 20, 2021, the FBI reported that they found near zero evidence that the January 6th protest was coordinated. So, what can DC lawmakers find that the FBI could not? Moreover, why have another investigation at all? At some point, doesn’t it become another witch hunt? Trump’s political enemies are not seeking justice, they are looking to punish and defame. By playing up coverage of a January 6th committee instead of citing the FBI’s results, the media is doing a gaslight on the public. The effect? Trump keeps getting investigated so he must be guilty of something.

President Biden called the events of January 6th the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” This was another gaslighting attempt to make the country see January 6th as more destructive and deadlier than one or all of the following attacks (All of which happened after the Civil War):

  • Pearl Harbor
  • Oklahoma City Bombing
  • September 11th
  • Jim Crow Laws
  • JFK Assassination
  • And so on…

I do not have data to back up my instincts on this but I HIGHLY doubt the majority of sober minded Americans, think that the financial and psychological effects of January 6th outweigh the other events I cited above. But just in case the gaslighting of the media has worked on you, let’s compare January 6th with the BLM riots from the Summer of 2020.

January 6th Protest/Riot

Now compare the January 6th stats to the the nationwide BLM riots of 2020. Law Enforcement Today had this to say about it.

According to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), 95 percent of the riots that took place last summer were linked to Black Lives Matter. Six percent of the protests which occurred between May 26 and Sept. 5 involved rioting, looting and similar violence, including 47 fatalities, The Frontier Post reported.

Of the 633 incidents coded as riots, 88 percent were coded as involving Black Lives Matter activists. All told, there were 12,045 incidents.

The rioting wasn’t only concentrated in large metropolitan areas, but also found its way into smaller cities such as Fort Collins, CO., Cottonwood Heights, Utah; Gilbert, Arizona; and Davenport Iowa. The riots spread across 47 states.

The riots that took place last year caused an estimated $2 billion in damages across the country, overtaking the 1992 Los Angeles riots that took place in the wake of the initial Rodney King verdict, which caused $775 million in damage. According to Axios, adjusted for inflation, those costs would amount to $1.42 billion.

Adding to to this reporting, The Guardian cited at least 25 Americans killed during the political unrest. And Citizens Journal stated more than 12 police officers were shot and killed protecting the public during that time.

And while the BLM riots were happening, how did the media report it? For the most part, they praised BLM as heroes fighting for social justice. All reports of violence, fires, harassment and such were downplayed. This is another example of gaslighting. Black Lives Matter, like the mainstream media, is an ally of the political left and as such, their reputation must be protected. This is why CNN and MSNBC reporters all said that things were not as bad as they seem and that sometimes people get mad and that’s okay.

But I digress, the BLM “mostly peaceful” protests happened nationwide, caused multiple deaths and $2,000,000,000.00 worth of damages. BLM clearly caused more damage and death and yet there are no congressional hearings to investigate them. Nevermind that the majority of American voters want a BLM investigation. Check out this quote from Rasmussen Reports

Now that House Democrats have created a committee to investigate the January 6 Capitol riot, most voters believe Congress should also investigate the Black Lives Matter protests that sparked violence in major cities last year.

A new national telephone and online survey by the National Police Association and Rasmussen Reports finds that 66% of Likely U.S. Voters think Congress should investigate last year’s violent protests, in which more than 2,000 police officers suffered injuries in the line of duty. Twenty-one percent (21%) don’t think Congress should investigate last year’s protests, and 13% were not sure.

Okay, I have two more points but I have said so much already. Here is a quick recap.

  • The media (and their political allies) would have us believe that the January 6th riot was an insurrection planned to topple the government, despite the fact that the FBI investigated and found otherwise.
  • The media (and their political allies) would have you believe that the damages caused by a summer of nationwide BLM riots somehow pales in comparison to a 3-hour January 6th riot in one location.

That being said, here are two more flagrant examples of gaslighting that has me shaking my head in utter disbelief. If January 6th was an insurrection in the media’s eyes, what should they call the global warming activists who tried to storm the Department of the Interior building last week? Here is a quote from The Washington Post.

Police and climate activists clashed Thursday during protests at the Interior Department, with security personnel sustaining “multiple injuries” and one officer being taken to a hospital, agency spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz said.

Climate demonstrators were attempting to occupy the Interior Department, with dozens entering the Stewart Lee Udall Main Interior Building on C Street NW. Those who remained outside clashed with police as they tried to keep the one unlocked door open. At times, protesters attempted to push past the police line.

The protesters were here for People vs. Fossil Fuels, five days of demonstrations by a coalition of groups known as Build Back Fossil Free that has included Indigenous leaders from across the country. The coalition’s name is a nod to President Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda.

People vs. Fossil Fuels said in a statement that 55 people were arrested during the protest, including Indigenous leaders, and said police “acted aggressively” by using Tasers on at least two people and batons to hit others. A spokesperson for the Federal Protective Service, which Schwartz said responded to the protest to “mitigate the situation,” did not immediately respond to a request for comment on police tactics and arrests.

Here is a tweet where you can see some of the action for yourself.

So, where are the headlines in the media reporting on this insurrection? Its very similar to the January 6th story isn’t it? Maybe you don’t think it is because the mainstream media is not making a big deal of it. Maybe if you do see it as the same thing (or at least, very similar), something might be wrong with how you view reality. If so, gaslighting strikes again.

And I’ll leave you with one final example of how the media warps your thinking with their gaslighting techniques. President Trump has long made claims that the election was stolen from him. There is ample evidence to support that claim but I won’t go down that rabbit hole today. Instead, I will point out how the media gaslights the public into believing that if you simply question the election results you are either crazy or a terrorist; unless you are a Democrat.

In that case, questioning the election results is covered by free speech and the mainstream media will not call you out on it. They may even defend you the same way MSNBC stood up for Stacey Abrams.

So, maybe Stacey Abrams really won? Nope. She did not. But enough gaslighting will cause you to think that way and maybe cause you to give her a sympathy vote next time she pursues political office.

Sigh.
