America fought the Taliban and the Taliban won.

Thursday, November 11 was Veterans Day in America; not to be confused with Memorial Day or Armed Forces Day.

President Biden called veterans the “soul of America” and that we should care for them and their families.

Somewhat ironic he would say that as so many military family members are still trapped in Afghanistan. Here’s a quote from Conservative Brief

After the Biden administration repeatedly assured Americans for weeks ahead of the pullout from Afghanistan that no U.S. citizens would be abandoned there, the Pentagon has revealed in a memo that it is working to extract several dozen Americans who were the immediate family of U.S. service members from the war-torn country.

“The Pentagon is stepping up efforts to get family members of U.S. troops out of Afghanistan, creating a database of the dozens who are trapped there,” NBC News reported.

The optics of the disastrous evacuation were embarrassing for the Biden administration so, they sought to “turn the page” by focusing on domestic issues and thereby place Afghanistan in the rear view mirror.

But a lot of Americans, especially Veterans, choose not to forget their fellow soldiers nor all of the personal sacrifices made in Afghanistan. Many refuse to forget what happened, and images of the Taliban flaunting our weapons and vehicles in a parade, did not help matters.

And as if to throw more salt in the wounds, the Biden administration is considering normalizing relations with the Taliban.

Just in case you need a reminder, here is one example of a day in the life of the Taliban.

And here is another friendly reminder of Taliban courtesy.

God bless our Veterans who see the missteps of the current administration and have decided to react lawfully and patriotically by running for political office themselves. In fact, a group of Navy SEALs running for Congress have asked President Biden, “Where is the mandate for saving Americans in Afghanistan?” I think it is a valid question, I think it will resonate with many American voters.

To all the men and women serving in the US military, I salute you. Thank you for your service. It is appreciated.

THANK YOU!
