Despite the media’s best efforts, Kyle Rittenhouse is free.
Kyle Rittenhouse was found innocent on all charges against him. Bravo. Justice was served. no doubt, some of you reading this are surprised that I would say this. If you are among them, you are among those who followed the narrative supported in the media and did not follow the trial itself.
If there are any riots or “mostly peaceful” demonstrations as a result of this acquittal, it will be due to the fake news media and agent provocateurs, but not the facts of the case.
The media could easily admit that they made a mistake, but they will not. So, what do they do instead? They double-down on their narrative because it fits their worldview and helps them save face.
And then there are the masses who buy the false narrative of the media and do not verify the facts because they have lives and trust the media to do their job accurately; as I used to. When they protest, they honestly believe they are on the side of the angels. In this regard I am reminded of the adage, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
But there is a chance that this type of media manipulation can be discouraged in the future. It will take lawsuits and lots of them resulting in HUGE payouts, enough to make the mainstream media and the elite think twice before maligning someone’s name. I hope Rittenhouse goes this route. Not just for himself, but to send a very powerful message. And if he does, he may as well start at the top.
But while lawsuits will provide a powerful detriment to spreading lies and scandalizing someone’s name, it can do nothing for what’s inside of someone’s heart. The Chicago Sun Times reported this…
DuPage County Democrats fired their social media director following “callous and reprehensible” posts likening the driver who plowed into a Christmas parade Sunday outside Milwaukee — killing five and wounding 40 — to Kyle Rittenhouse.
“It was probably just self-defense,” Mary Lemanski tweeted Sunday on her personal Twitter account, according to posts republished by Fox News.
“Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened,” Lemanski tweeted about the SUV driver.
The tweets, which have since been deleted, were a mocking reference to the defense strategy used by Rittenhouse, who was acquitted Friday of homicide after killing two men and wounding a third during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha.
In later posts Lemanski expressed sorrow over the tragedy.
“I’m sad,” she said. “I’m sad anytime anyone dies.”
“I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens of Wisconsin.’
She also tweeted: “You reap what you sow, Wisconsin.”
Lemanski couldn’t be reached for comment.
