Where was the call for peace from President Trump?

Where was the call for peace from President Trump?

Yesterday was epic and historic and not in a good way. Bedlam broke out and the media was calling on the President to calm his supporters down. Yet, no response was given. At least, that was the impression I had from mainstream media. However, a call for peace was made at the time. It was suppressed and, in some cases, prevented from being spread. Case in point, check out the tweet below (and the timestamp).

And just in case it disappears, this is what was said.

“I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order, we have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt. It’s a very tough period of time.”

(I bet you $20 Twitter takes it down. Any takers? Oh wait. They already did.) No matter your political affiliation, you have to admit censoring that tweet was wrong. It irks me.

Maybe it wasn’t as bad as they told us.

The Visual Capitalist put together an infographic on how many people die on a daily basis. Its quite illuminating to see how Covid-19 deaths compared to things like heart attacks, cancers and road injuries. It really puts things in perspective. Read: How Many People Die Each Day? And for extra points, read how the CDC reported 26.3% less death in 2020 than in 2018 and sort through the numbers for yourself.

Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran… (Or were they singing Barbara Ann?)

Iran has resumed the production of 20% enriched uranium at its underground nuclear facility in Fordow, an Iranian government spokesman said Monday. Iranian state media later reported that authorities had seized a South Korean-flagged tanker and arrested its crew, alleging “oil pollution” in the Persian Gulf. But hey, I’m sure that’s nothing to be worried about.

I’m ready for my tinfoil now.

About a million Trump supporters attended a rally in DC that was peaceful until it wasn’t. In some cases, hypocrisy was on display and in others, a very relevant question. Trump supporters are very pro law and order, supporting the police loudly and proudly. So, why then this sudden divergence into hard radical territory? Newsmax pushed a theory that it was actually Antifa and BLM doing a false flag. Sound crazy? Maybe yes, maybe no. Social media is already proliferating with diverse accounts on this very thing and they come across as highly credible.

I don’t trust the mainstream media. I’m not the only one.

At a time when Americans are relying heavily on the media for information about the coronavirus pandemic, the presidential election and other momentous events, the public remains largely distrustful of the mass media. Four in 10 U.S. adults say they have “a great deal” (9%) or “a fair amount” (31%) of trust and confidence in the media to report the news “fully, accurately, and fairly,” while six in 10 have “not very much” trust (27%) or “none at all” (33%).  Click here for the rest of the story.

Do as I say, I wear a lab coat.

Check out this quote

If you thought you’d never see a time come in America where people wouldn’t be allowed to travel unless they were vaccinated against a virus that may not even be around in a year, think again.

That day has come.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with authoritarians in mostly Democrat-run states, are now essentially putting the vaccine industry in control over who will get to fly in the very near future and who will get denied, the U.S. Constitution’s ‘right to travel’ guarantee be damned.

This is curious to me on so many levels. As of January 3, 2021, you can’t pay health care workers to take the Covid-19 vaccine. Why? Maybe its because they heard about the hundreds of Israelis who were infected with Covid after receiving the vaccine? Or, maybe it was the disappearing Flu? (Flu, Covid, tomatoe, tomottoe) I doubt it had something to do with racism. Umm… Unless you live in New York and dealing with a lockdown, which won’t work anyway; no matter how much you mandate them. Sigh.

Okay, I’m checking Facebook in a few minutes. Just in case.

This one from the Twin Cities Pioneer Press:

A Williston, N.D., man is accused of kicking in the front door of a house after his ex-coworker did not reply to his Facebook friend request…Police say Burczyk started sending aggressive Facebook messages to his ex-coworker on Dec. 24, according to an affidavit of probable cause. He threatened his ex-coworker’s life and warned him that he was going to “come at” him if he did not accept his Facebook friend request, the affidavit stated.

“Accept my friend request or I’m going to murder you,” Burczyk wrote in a message to his ex-coworker, according to the affidavit.

Umm.. Don’t take this personally dude but, if this is how you roll I wouldn’t accept your friend request either.

To Mask or Not to Mask. That is the question.

To Mask or Not to Mask. That is the question.

From January 2020 to December 2020, this is a video timeline, taking you from “You don’t need to wear a mask” to “Wear a mask, or risk being fined.” I think watching it shows why the public has such a visceral reaction to masks; so many mixed messages. (And don’t get me started on the vaccine.)

Was the Coronavirus an accident or a weapon?

One of America’s most senior government officials says the most ‘credible’ theory about the origin of coronavirus is that it escaped from a laboratory in China.

Matthew Pottinger, who is President Donald Trump‘s respected Deputy National Security Adviser, told politicians from around the world that even China’s leaders now openly admit their previous claims that the virus originated in a Wuhan market are false.

Mr Pottinger said that the latest intelligence points to the virus leaking from the top-secret Wuhan Institute of Virology, 11 miles from the market, saying: ‘There is a growing body of evidence that the lab is likely the most credible source of the virus.’

Accident or not, the virus originated in China. Will China pay reparations to the world? If not, why not? Click here to read the full article I quoted.

Bitcoin Just Broke $600 Billion

Bitcoin, fresh from one of the wildest years in its short history, has suddenly surged higher again, breaking through the psychological $30,000 per bitcoin level and taking bitcoin’s total value past $600 billion.

The bitcoin price is up almost 10% in the first two days of 2021 alone, putting it in poll position to become one of the year’s best performing assets and helping it eclipse the market capitalization of payments giant Visa.

I’m adding Bitcoin to the list of trends I heard about early and regret not acting on once I did. Click here for the rest of the story on Bitcoin. Mental note: Don’t sleep on Miami (or you might be sorry again.)

Have you lost your mother fatherin’ mind?

I understand the desire to be inclusive and fair. However, there are times when it seems that good intentions go too far. Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Democratic Massachusetts Rep. James McGovern, chairman of the Rules Committee, announced changes to the House rules that will “honor all gender identities” by modifying the pronouns and familial relations references in the rules, the Committee on Rules announced.

Among the highlights: References to fathers, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and in-laws would be changed to “parent, child, sibling, spouse, or parent-in-law,” according to the resolution. Extended family members would be referred to as “child’s parent” instead of aunt or uncle, stepparents, and siblings-in-law.

It seems a bit much to me. Read more about it here and see what you think.

At what point did this become normal?

A leader of a new political party inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement has called for a ‘race offenders‘ register’ that would see people barred from jobs based on having been accused of ‘micro-aggressions’ in the workplace.

This is not the first time a “registry of offenders” has been shopped to the public. I did a podcast on a similar idea where Yelp was tracking “racist” restaurants. This kind of thinking is BEYOND dangerous and something the world has seen before. Do we really want it again? I do not. Click here for the article I quoted above.

Because small biz has not suffered enough

The Internal Revenue Service is planning to ramp up audits of smaller businesses and their investors by about 50% next year, following years of persistently low examination rates, an agency official said Tuesday. The result could be a surge in audits of companies ranging from mom-and-pop retail stores and technology startups to investment funds that have historically faced only infrequent checks thanks to the time and effort required at the IRS.

This feels like a continuation of the biggest transfer of wealth in history since the Coronavirus pandemic began. Government mandates forced businesses to close permanently and now, those remaining may be audited into oblivion. Maybe I’m going a bit tinfoil here but, maybe not. Read the story here.

She said yes, but was it really a no?

A man’s romantic proposal atop an Austrian mountain ended in disaster Sunday moments after his new fiancée said, “Yes” — when she slipped and plunged off a 650-foot cliff, according to the Sun. The 32-year-old woman miraculously survived when snow broke her fall from the mountain at the Falkert resort in Carinthia, the outlet reported. Her 27-year-old partner tried to grab her but took a tumble himself, soaring 50 feet through the air before grabbing a ledge and holding on for dear life, the Sun reported, citing Bild.

They both survived so maybe love does conquer all.

2020: It could have been worse…

2020: It could have been worse…

You would be hard pressed to find someone who said 2020 was a great year for them; unless they are Walmart, Netflix or Amazon. Still, as tough as things were, the USA and the world have had worse years. Historians voted and made a list of the darker days behind us. Among them, 1968, when MLK and RFK were assasinated, 1929, when Wall Street crashed and the Great Depression reared its ugly head and 1862, the very worst year of the Civil War. Click here for years that were worse than 2020.

Maybe it wasn’t as bad as we thought?

Umm… I’ll just leave this here.

I would have called it Raquel’s Island…

So, a few days ago, this happened. Sigh.

Dawn Wells, who famously played Mary Ann Summers, has died. She was 82. She died in Los Angeles of COVID-19-related causes Wednesday morning, according to her publicist. The actress starred as the unapologetic “good girl” who was stranded on an island with six other castaways. “Gilligan’s Island” ran from 1964 to 1967 – for three seasons – and yet it has never gone off the air. It continues to be screened across the world in over 30 languages.

…Wells, a Reno native, represented Nevada in the Miss America pageant in 1959 before taking on the iconic role. For the role of Mary Ann, she beat out 350 other actresses, including Raquel Welch.

Yes, you read that right! Racquel Welch was almost Mary Ann on Gilligan’s Island. As much as I was a fan of Ginger and Mary Ann growing up (although I would’ve dropped them both for Thelma of Good Times), Raquel Welch would have changed the dynamics of the show entirely. It would have been Raquel’s Island.

The Ceiling Fan of Death

Okay, here’s the plot for a horror movie or murder mystery thriller or a very, very dark comedy. There’s a party going during a very hot Summer day. Someone turns on the ceiling fan and it gradually picks up speed. Suddenly there is a spark and the blades of the ceiling fan break off and begins slicing through one guest and decapitating another. Blood everywhere and the punch is ruined. Oh the humanity! If you think that couldn’t happen in real life, think again.

More 190,000 ceiling fans sold at The Home Depot have been recalled amid reports its blades can detach while in use and cause injury or property damage.

Umm… ouch.

So, is that a good jobs report or a bad jobs report?

Claims for jobless benefits fall to 787,000, down 19,000

WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits fell by 19,000 but remain elevated at 787,000 as a resurgent coronavirus grips the U.S. economy.

While at the lowest level in four weeks, the new figures released Thursday by the Labor Department are nearly four times higher than a year ago before the coronavirus struck. Employers continue to cut jobs as rising coronavirus infections keep many people at home while state and local governments re-impose restrictions.

The GOAT of Diversity Recruiters

Hmm… A few weeks ago it was Dr. Timnit Gebru who was fired for criticizing her employer – Google in an email. This week its April Christina Curley calling foul on Google. Is it open season on the sistahs working at Google? Read the Twitter thread and judge for yourself.

Isn’t that like a Nazi thing?

Maybe you have Covid and I suspect you’re not wearing a mask. How do I know for sure? Its best that I detain you against your will for the safety of all. And if you don’t have it, maybe you do, because I’m a politician and for some reason I don’t like you. Sound like Nazi, Germany? No. It starting to sound like New York.

A New York state lawmaker has introduced a bill that would allow the government to detain people deemed a potential public health risk, amid concerns that the Covid-19 crisis is being allegedly used to usher in authoritarianism.

Authored by a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly N. Nick Perry, Bill A416 calls for the “removal and/or detention” of individuals who are identified as a “case, contact or carrier” of a contagious disease.

The sweeping powers would be employed in the event of the state government declaring a health emergency due to an epidemic of any communicable disease, the bill proposes.

Let’s make segregation great again…

I’m not a fan of segregation.

I didn’t like it back in the day.

I didn’t like it when black students at Rice University demanded a segregated campus or when Black NYU Students demanded segregated housing.

And I certainly don’t like what’s going on in Minnesota.

“Just because we voted yes doesn’t mean we’re racist,” says Craig Kavanagh, mayor of a tiny Minnesota town that has granted a permit to a whites-only church. The Asatru Folk Assembly, which has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, says it is reviving pre-Christian Nordic folk beliefs and it will not admit people who are not of northern European descent. Residents of Murdock, population 280, say they plan to push back against the group despite a 3-1 council vote approving a change of use for a former Lutheran church the group bought and rehabilitated after it had been used as a residence, reports the Duluth News Tribune. The mayor says rejecting the permit could have led to a legal battle the town can’t afford.

Its Boys vs Girls with a twist…

It’s like picking teams for dodgeball in gym class—except everyone wants the girls. In papers filed Thursday in Manhattan federal court, attorneys for the Girl Scouts of the United States of America pushed back against what they call “highly damaging” trademark infringement by the Boy Scouts of America, with the former accusing the latter of poaching potential female members from their ranks by engaging in unfair marketing and recruitment, the AP reports.

Politics vs Science

Florida and California implemented different strategies for coping with Covid. California was all about the lockdown whereas Florida was more measured with their approach. The results are in. See below. More data here.

Things are hard out here for a pimp!

And I’m glad about it.

On Tuesday, December 8th, porn-hosting giant Pornhub removed 10 million videos from its platform. The reason for the massive scrub was the result of the company’s recognition that sex traffickers had used the site to post videos of rape, sexual assault, and child abuse. On December 14th, Pornhub released a statement, which said, “Last week, we enacted the most comprehensive safeguards in user-generated platform history. We banned unverified uploaders from posting new content, eliminated downloads, and partnered with dozens of non-profit organizations…As part of our policy to ban unverified uploaders, we have now also suspended all previously uploaded content that was not created by content partners or members of the Model Program.”

TRANSLATION: The #Traffickinghub petition campaign was wildly successful.

Ka-Ching for me but not for thee

Pandemics are good for retail giants. Mom and Pops? Not so much.

Those retailers enjoyed major gains in large part due to the effects of COVID-19 shutdowns: Most governors across the country throughout the year ordered the closure of what they deemed non-essential” businesses, taking out large swaths of competition for both Amazon and Walmart. Fears of contracting COVID-19 — particularly in the relatively small confines of local retailers — also drove shoppers into either digital commerce or the wide-open spaces of Walmart’s average180,000-square-foot warehouses.

Small businesses have throughout 2020 suffered significant widespread closures as a result. Yelp’s September 2020 economic impact report found that the number of small businesses that had closed permanently in the U.S. had increased approximately 165% from April to September, rising from about 37,000 to roughly 98,000.

Its the kind of thing that gives Monty Burn the warm and fuzzies at night.

Here is the evidence

Hackers prove Dominion voting machines can change votes in real time.

Jeffrey Epstein. Alive?

If so, what a plot twist!

Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood suggested on Thursday that Chief Justice John Roberts illegally adopted his children through pedophile millionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Wood, who is helping President Donald Trump contest the results of the 2020 presidential election, has accused Roberts of helping Democrats steal the election from Trump. Earlier this month, he hinted that the reason Roberts did so was because he was involved with Epstein.

He also dropped this little bit of intrigue in a tweet.

I am fully aware of the onslaught of attacks being made against me based on my revelations about Chief Justice John Roberts. Before attacking me, maybe fair-minded people would first ask Roberts to tell the truth. Or ask Jeffrey Epstein. He is alive.

If true, wow. Read this.

So you break the law and I have to pay?

Planned Parenthood gets caught selling baby body parts

A federal judge in California ordered the video journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood’s practices in the harvesting and sales of aborted baby body parts to pay the abortion giant $13.6 million to cover its legal costs in its case against them.

Outrage doesn’t begin to describe my reaction.

BLM vs Trump Supporters

So much for unity.

Pot, meet kettle.

After it was announced that Hotel Harrington would be closing its doors to guests ahead of a planned demonstration in support of President Trump in January, the ‘Black Lives Matter D.C.’ group is calling on other D.C. hotels to follow suit. Hotel Harrington announced Monday that it will be closed on January 4, 5, and 6 “for the safety of visitors and employees.”

“Boom. This is how you stop white supremacists from destroying our city and terrorizing dc residents,” Black Lives Matter DC tweeted in reference to the announced closure ahead of the planned January demonstrations.

Umm… I’m going to have to call BS on this sentiment. Violent protests almost always come from the left. Consider these points…

The mainstream media would have me believe that Trump Supporters are equally as violent as BLM supporters. I am not convinced.

Sing now, pay later…

Black people can rap the N word but woke liberals cannot

Being a woke white liberal supporter of black lives matter does not absolve you from the sin of repeating a rap song that uses the N word; even if you did it 3 years ago. No matter. You will be booted from polite society. Here’s the proof.

Apparently, cheaters do prosper…

If you’re black and play sports anyways.

Some football players at West Point were caught cheating on a calculus final exam. How were they punished? They were not; at least not yet. They went on to play in the Liberty Bowl. Why? “…West Point’s superintendent in October suspended a policy that limited or prevented cadets found in violation of the academy’s honor code from representing the academy in public, including athletes at sports events.”

What really stood out to me in the article that reported the news was this, “…Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams, the superintendent, in an Oct. 23 memo, wrote to the faculty that the policy “has resulted in an inequitable application of consequences and developmental opportunities for select groups of cadets.”

Is this social justice? I don’t think so. I think its wrong.
